Today we would like to share with you some of our favourite crafty and creative ways to dress your day with ribbons.
Ribbons have long been a staple of party and bridal deco; endlessly versatile and appealing to all ages, there is something SO romantic about dressing your day with ribbons.
Lots of our brides start the planning process by choosing their satin ribbon colours, these swatches go on to form the colour palette for all of their suppliers and help to create the overall theme for the day.
BB have cooked up some top tips to help you introduce ribbons into your decor…
Prettify Your Bar
Whatever time of year, destination or closer to home, there’s one place that everyone will visit at some point… the bar!
Dressing the bar with ribbons and personalised details is so much fun; here are some of our top tips:
1. Hand tied luggage tags with cute notes for guests look fab on drink favours or mini champagne bottles.
2. An alternative take on our ribbon wall back-drop, two bamboo poles and a little ribbon make the perfect fiesta backdrop!
Luxury satin 6mm ribbons available now or send us a message to make one for you (if your DIY skills aren’t up to scratch)!
3. Ribbon wands- perfect for shaking on the dance-floor or otherwise! Here we used our special gold glitter ribbon.
4. DIY helium balloon ties- GORGEOUS in gold.
5. Prettify mason jars with a wide satin ribbon or a vintage lace for a more rustic, country chic look.
6. Get crafty and create a ribbon tassel garland as a backdrop for the bar. We love a combo of colours for an eclectic look.
Gentle Boundaries, Walkway Ties and Tree Accents
Outdoor weddings often need a little ribbon to help to create a workable space with boundaries, and help give guests directions down a walkway or path.
Ribbons can also help to set the tone of your party (calm & serene, fun and festival…) in a way that’s more subtle and romantic than your average paper-craft items.
Our brides have sent us these gorgeous images of how they used ribbons to decorate their walk-ways, social spaces and foliage.
Share Them With Your Florist!
We can match your swatches with your bouquets to make sure everything co-ordinates perfectly!
Share the ribbons with your florist and it will all come together in a big way.
‘Set The Scene’ Table Runners
So simple and yet so effective, cut lengths of ribbon draped underneath your place settings can make for stand out tables!
Not Your Average Chair Back Ties
From colour co-ordinated giant poms to ribbons draped casually over the chair backs, there are SO many ways you can liven up your seats!
For something a little different, a sequin drape really sets it off, with a chunky gold ribbon tie to secure it in place.
